When would we cancel an event?

We need at least five paid men and five paid women 24 hours before the event. At least four men and four women must then check in within five minutes of the start time.

An event that goes ahead is designed to give you at least four private video dates. The exact number can change if someone leaves early or has a technical problem.

If we cancel because the minimum is not met, everyone who booked receives a full refund. If the minimum is missed at check-in, everyone who checked in on time receives a full refund. We may also cancel and refund the event if a serious technical or unexpected problem prevents it from running.

Refunds go back to the original payment method. We’ll email you if the event is cancelled, although your bank may take additional time to show the refund.

Your camera and microphone must be working before the event begins.

You'll receive a confirmation email with your event details. Before the event starts, we'll also send you a reminder so you know when to join.

Questions people ask before joining

Is Speedies online or in person?

Speedies events are fully online. You join from your phone or laptop using your event link.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Speedies runs in your browser. You just need a working camera, microphone, and internet connection.

How are dates matched?

Speedies automatically pairs you with other singles in the 28-42 age range and rotates everyone fairly during the event.

Will people know who I liked?

No. Your choices are private. Someone only knows you liked them if they choose you too.

What happens if there are uneven numbers?

If numbers are uneven, some people may have a short break between rounds. The system rotates everyone as fairly as possible.

What happens after the event?

If you both choose each other, it's a mutual match. We'll connect you after the event so you can continue the conversation.

How do I report a safety concern?

Leave the conversation if you feel unsafe, then use the Report a Safety Concern link in the site footer. We review reports privately. Contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger.
