1. Who we are

Speedies is an online speed-dating service operated by Javier Ghaemi ("Speedies", "we", "us" or "our") during its beta stage. You can contact us at xaka.ltd@gmail.com or at 62 George Crescent, London, N10 1AN, United Kingdom.

2. Beta service

Speedies is a beta service. We are testing and improving the experience, so features, event formats and availability may change. We will use reasonable care and skill to provide the service, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or free from technical problems.

3. Who can take part

You must be at least 18 years old and legally allowed to use dating services in the country where you live. By booking or joining, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

Event descriptions may state an age range, city, theme or other eligibility criteria. We may ask for reasonable proof of age or identity. We may pause or suspend access if you do not provide it, if it cannot be verified, or if we reasonably suspect that you are under 18 or have provided false information.

Eligibility is normally based on participant self-declaration. Unless we tell you otherwise, Speedies does not carry out criminal background checks or guarantee another participant's age, identity, location, or suitability.

4. Tickets and payments

A ticket gives one named person access to one specified event. Tickets are personal, cannot be transferred or resold, and may not be exchanged for another event unless we agree in writing. Ticket prices and the event date, time and time zone are shown before payment.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Your use of Stripe may also be subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policies.

5. Event numbers, attendance and refunds

An event needs at least five paid participants in each ticket group (for example, five men and five women) by 24 hours before its start time. If that minimum is not met, we may cancel the event and will give every booked participant a full refund.

To go ahead, an event also needs at least four checked-in participants in each ticket group within five minutes of its start time. If that live minimum is not met, we will cancel the event and refund participants who checked in on time. People who do not attend or check in on time are not entitled to a refund for the missed event.

If an event goes ahead, no refund is normally due because you changed your mind, missed it, arrived late, or could not join because of your own device, internet connection or surroundings. We may offer a refund or another event where Speedies cancels, materially fails to provide the event as promised, or where required by law. Nothing in these Terms removes your legal consumer rights.

6. Your event experience

You may have up to the number of conversations stated for the event, but the actual number depends on live attendance. You choose for yourself whether you would like to match with another participant. Speedies does not use AI or an automated system to decide your matches.

A match happens only when both people choose to connect. When there is a mutual match, we may share the contact details each person agreed to share for that purpose.

7. Community rules

You must follow our Community Guidelines. Treat every participant with respect. You must not harass, threaten, discriminate against, scam, impersonate, sexually pressure, stalk, or deliberately make another person feel unsafe. You must respect rejection and must not share another person's personal information without their permission.

Speedies does not record event calls. You must not record, screenshot, photograph or share any part of an event unless every person shown or heard has clearly agreed first. You must not use the service for commercial promotion, solicitation, or any unlawful purpose.

8. Illegal activity

You must not use Speedies to carry out, arrange, promote, or assist fraud, money laundering, scams, blackmail, harassment, stalking, threats, extortion, prostitution, solicitation of illegal services, the sale of drugs or weapons, identity theft, or criminal activity of any kind.

You must not aid, abet, encourage, facilitate, promote, organise, or participate in abuse, harassment, exploitation, trafficking, or any other harmful or illegal conduct.

9. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not upload, show, send, request, link to, or promote:

• pornography, nudity, sexually explicit profile photos, sexual violence, or solicitation;
• child sexual abuse material, child exploitation, grooming, or any sexual content involving a person under 18;
• non-consensual intimate imagery, including so-called revenge porn;
• violent or graphic content, hate speech, or terrorist content;
• scam content, spam, malware, fake profiles, catfishing, or impersonation;
• illegal goods, illegal services, human trafficking content, or content that facilitates exploitation.

This list is not exhaustive. Content or conduct that is illegal, unsafe, deceptive, exploitative, or seriously harmful is also prohibited.

10. Zero tolerance for trafficking and exploitation

Speedies has zero tolerance for human trafficking, sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, forced labour, grooming, recruiting users for exploitation, facilitating trafficking, or promoting trafficking. Any account reasonably connected to this conduct may be permanently banned. We may preserve relevant evidence and report suspected illegal activity to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities.

11. Safety reports and enforcement

You can report a participant or safety concern. We may investigate reports and take proportionate action. This may include removing content, warning or removing someone from an event, suspending an account, permanently banning a user, cancelling an event, preserving evidence, issuing a refund at our discretion, reporting suspected illegal activity, and cooperating with the authorities.

We may act without advance notice where we reasonably believe this is necessary to protect a person, the community, or the service. Serious rule-breaking may result in removal without a refund. Speedies is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger.

12. Law enforcement cooperation

We respond to valid legal requests and cooperate with law enforcement where legally required or reasonably necessary to protect user safety. This may include preserving relevant user information, responding to subpoenas, court orders, or valid government requests, and disclosing account information where the law requires or permits us to do so.

We review requests according to applicable law and only disclose information that we reasonably believe is relevant and lawful to provide.

13. Marketing material

We will use a participant's video, image or screenshot for marketing only when that participant has given clear permission. You can withdraw permission for future use by emailing us, but this will not affect material already published or campaigns already in progress where removal is not reasonably possible.

14. Privacy

We use personal information to run events, process bookings, send service messages, handle mutual matches, prevent misuse, and investigate safety reports. Please read our Privacy Policy for more detail about how we use, preserve, share, and protect personal information.

15. Our responsibility

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, business losses, or problems caused by your own internet connection, device, environment or conduct.

We do not guarantee that you will meet a particular person, make a match, form a relationship, or have a specific number of conversations. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

16. Changes and law

We may update these Terms as Speedies develops. The version published when you book applies to that booking, unless a change is required by law or is clearly more favourable to you. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, but you keep any mandatory rights that apply where you live.
